Why Kivo started
Kivo started from something anyone running a large server knows: one admin account was stolen, and in under two minutes channels built over two years were gone. The bots available then alerted after the fact, or wanted commands typed into Discord that nobody remembers under pressure.
So the idea was simple: a bot that counts what admins do rather than only checking who has the permission, keeps a snapshot that puts back what was lost, and is set up entirely from a web dashboard. No config files, no commands to memorise.
What we build
One bot in four editions, with a page and a switch in the dashboard for every feature: the anti-nuke guard, backups, moderation, welcomes, levels, tickets, giveaways and the event log.
The team
A small team that builds the bot, writes the guides, and answers the tickets. We do not hire writers to describe features they have never used: every guide here comes from using the feature itself, on servers we run ourselves.
How we decide
- Off until you turn it on
Nothing runs in your server because we decided it was useful. Every switch is yours
- We say what is not working
If a permission is missing or an action fails, the bot names it instead of failing silently
- As little of your data as possible
Only what the features you turned on need, and any member's data can be deleted with a command
- We never touch your server from our side
The bot joins only when you add it, and we do not change your settings from here
Reaching us
The fastest route is a ticket in the support server: it reaches the same people who write the code. And every feature has a guide that answers most questions before you ask them.
